Wire Taps

Okay I can't pass this one up
"This is not about monitoring phone calls designed to arrange Little League practice or what to bring to a potluck dinner," he told reporters. "These are designed to monitor calls from very bad people to very bad people who have a history of blowing up commuter trains, weddings, and churches."

Okay I think I've already gone over this, but one more time for clarification. The issue here has nothing to do with the ability to monitor a suspected terrorist, it has to do with failing to obtain a warrant to do so. The President can seek that warrant retro-actively 72 days after the surveillance and in extreme cases, up to 16 days after. The administration doesn't want anyone to know who they are monitoring! That's the same crap Nixon tried to pull and was threatened impeachment for!
