Fast Food

I saw this a while ago, but I didn't have time to post it.
A bit fucked up.

What's even more f'd up about this story is that someone is stupid enough not to realize that what was being done to her wasn't right. i mean, come on...asking her to take off her clothes...wouldn't that ring a little bell in your head that said, something about this situation isn't quite right? it makes me mad...and sad...that people will just go and believe anything. people should have a gut instinct about these things. how horrible.

Well to add to that, this wasn't the first or the last instance of this happening. This guy somehow duped many folks into believing he was a cop. Part of the legitimacy ruse with this is procedure. The man pretending to be the police used terminology that appeared to be police procedure. He also used the element of having a higher manager on "hold". This put pressure on the assistant manager to align with her boss' wishes and likewise her concern for this put that same pressure on the victimized woman. It's all a fucked up circle of logic that in most cases practically couldn't happen, but somehow someway, this guy came up with a scenario that made it seem just believable enough and just difficult enough to get out of to get what he wanted. Sick Sad World.
