Seems to pale in comparison to the tsunami, but yes people are still dying regularly in Iraq. This recent ambush was pretty bad. The Iraqi police were informed that it was a safe house for rebels and as soon as they approached the building, it was blown up. They aren't getting less hostile, the insurgency is getting worse and they're getting smarter. If there's a good answer to this, I don't have it, but we need to adjust something to change this situation. Juan Cole has more as always.
