Blackwater

Are we still dealing with these assholes? Really?
Blackwater Said to Pursue Bribes to Iraq After 17 Died
Top executives at Blackwater Worldwide authorized secret payments of about $1 million to Iraqi officials that were intended to silence their criticism and buy their support after a September 2007 episode in which Blackwater security guards fatally shot 17 Iraqi civilians in Baghdad, according to former company officials.
How much longer are we going to just dump money into the hands of a bunch of failed mercenaries that sexually assault their own employees, they murder innocent people and instead of being prosecuted and fired we give them more money so they can bribe their way out of it.

UPDATE: By the way the Iraqi government decided to no longer allow Blackwater to operate in Iraq. We are still utilizing their "help" in Afghanistan. As for Iraq now? We're using another security contractor called Triple Canopy. I can't wait to hear what shit they try to get away with.

One last question... I know that recruitment is an issue due to our expansive occupations, but don't we have soldiers to do this stuff? And if not, wouldn't we be better served with a company that was actually held accountable by the U.S. government?
