Ok this is pretty dumb

Well this is certainly not a fair and balanced blog, neither do I ever intend to just blast the side I'm against either. So in keeping with that, I present probably the dumbest thing spoken on the House floor recently by a Democrat:
Rep. Steve Cohen (D-Tenn.) compared Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama to Jesus Christ and Republican Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin to Pontius Pilate.

"The parties have differences, but if you want change, you want the Democratic Party," Cohen said Wednesday during a speech on the House floor. "Obama was a community organizer, like Jesus, who our minister prayed about. Pontius Pilate was a governor."

Well this is bad for two reasons:
1. Obama is not Jesus, neither are any of his messages intended to portray that. The folks that wish to portray Obama as the savior are on the right side of the aisle. And they mean it to ridicule him, however possible that is.
2. It makes a poor comparison of the opponent. Pontius Pilate had a lot more experience than Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin.

Come on Democrats... It's an easy battle this time. Just avoid the two pitfalls, don't use Republican double-speak to make your point and don't give more credit than the opponent deserves.
