Bull Shit

This is why Colin Powell can never again run for office:

‘I tried to avoid this war.’ Former Secretary of State Colin Powell revealed that he spent 2.5 hours “vainly trying to persuade President George W. Bush not to invade Iraq and believes today’s conflict cannot be resolved by U.S. forces. ‘I tried to avoid this war,’ Powell said at the Aspen Ideas Festival in Colorado. ‘I took him through the consequences of going into an Arab country and becoming the occupiers.’” In terms of the current situation in Iraq, Powell said: “It is not a civil war that can be put down or solved by the armed forces of the United States.” July 8, 2007 9:20 am

Yes you tried to stop it by telling the UN that Saddam Hussein had been preparing to create weapons of mass destruction using aluminum tubes and uranium harvested from Niger. No matter how many times, whether it was for 2 and a half hours or 2 and a half years, Powell attempted to stop the war in Iraq, he gave up all rights to say "I told you so" when he made his speech before the UN. Correction when he outright lied to the UN with information that he's basically attested to knowing was wrong all along. Poor Colin. You could've been the most popular first black President. Now you're just a wanker.
