Embrace the Stupid

I'll bet that anyone that reads this headline will, like me, not have any need to read the article to know what it's about.

Bush Vows Not to Negotiate on Iraq Timetable

“Now, some of them believe that by delaying funding for our troops, they can force me to accept restrictions on our commanders that I believe would make withdrawal and defeat more likely,” Mr. Bush said. “That’s not going to happen. If Congress fails to pass a bill to fund our troops on the front lines, the American people will know who to hold responsible.”
Yes Mr. President(as I use the term loosely), the American people WILL know who to hold responsible. But it won't be a group of Senators or Representatives in Congress, it'll just be one man, you Mr. President.
As the Pew research poll suggests, as does this separate gallup poll, Americans are quite aware of who's responsible for the war in Iraq. They know that Congress just attempted to pass a bill to not only set a definite deadline for the Iraq situation, but they also very specifically laid out spending that would support the troops in combat in the interim. Who voted this bill down? Was it the democratic majority? No, it was cronies of yours Mr. President. Cronies that still cling to the belief that somehow, somewhere there are people that actually respect your position. The difference between these sad chaps who are rapidly reaching the end of their careers and the rest of America is simple. The rest of us are paying attention to more than what's in the newspapers. We have family and friends who are over seas fighting in this war. A war created by greed, mendacity and the stupidity of the worst President to ever live in the White House.
America doesn't support you Mr. Bush and neither does the world. And when your game of charades is finally over, I hope you are paraded through the streets covered in tar and feathers. I hope you are held to trial for the crimes you've committed and the lies you've told. Or maybe a better fate would be for you to be just a comma in history. An insignificant waste that we desperately try to overlook as we wash our hands of your tyrannical imperialistic lies and eventually return to the good wholesome values that the world had once respected. In short, Mr. President, I hope you are forgotten, because every time I think of you I'm sick to my stomach that humans like you exist.
