Green to Blue

So I heard this story on NPR this morning that apparently people have been studying how plant life in the ocean changes the color of the Earth from space. Well apparently in the 90s the Earth started to get much much greener(most likely indicating that there was more plant life in the oceans). Well Apparently when the climate warms the ocean, the water that's cool and suitable for plant life gets pushed away by this warmer water and suffocates the plants. Not surprisingly to anyone that actually believes in global warming, the past few years have yielded a much bluer Earth. According the the expert they had(I was in the shower I don't recall his name sorry) studies have shown that globally plant life has decreased quite a bit in the last five or so years, likely due to an increase in greenhouse conditions. Keep in mind that these plants like all plants remove the excess of CO2 in the air and produce more O2. It's the excess of CO2 causing the rapid change in temperature. Perhaps it has to due with Jim Inhofe in the House. Perhaps it's a good thing he's being replaced.

UPDATE: Here's a link to the same story, but on Discovery. Apparently these guys care about it too.
