slot machines

what i really enjoy about voting (and working in a legal field) is reading about issues like implementing the slot machines. let's add some slot machines and then donate 1% of the proceeds towards gambling addiction services!??! come on. i suppose it's a nice gesture, but it just seems ridiculous. let's use the addicted gamblers by providing them with more slot machines and let their own money be used to pay for services that they may need to use later. why are politics so backwards?
