Blogger's back

Well blogger's been down so I've missed getting out a bunch of stuff. Ridge resigned saying how we're safer now and I heard an interesting comment on the Washington Journal this morning. The called was from Cleveland and mentioned how the repubs keep reminding us that we're safe because there have been no attacks on US soil, yet no one mentions the anthrax and the ricin bio-attacks that happened and the culprits were never apprehended. The caller began getting hostile about the republican party after that and had to be cut off, but still I say good point.

We also lost a coach here in Cleveland, which is no surprise to anyone. Why it's big news is beyond me.

We also found out that this month marks the highest number of US casualties in Iraq. 135 is the report, but the Pentagon hasn't released a casualty list in over a week, so the number is likely much higher.
Researching this led me to this site. It's a little over dramatic, but pretty true. We've been using DU ammunition, which is essentially nuclear waste, and basically killing ourselves and the Iraqis with radiation poisoning. There are a few links after the flash video that give you some info on Depleted Uranium. This is scary shit folks.

To finish up my laundry list from yesterday, I also found a good site with social security info. It's available here. Like many articles on this subject, you can economist your way out of every fact in this document, but basically the point is that we have enough to fund soc. sec. well into the future if we would just continue with sound policy as opposed to the drunken sailor we have in office now.

Lastly I got an opinion post about election fraud that talks about historical trends and all sorts of good stuff to think about, but I haven't read it fully so I won't comment much on it here until I do. If it seems like something worth chatting about, I'll include a link with a shorter version here(the current post is eight pages, so that's a little much I think for our blogging purposes).

Well that's it for now. Probably more later since blogger's working and the news keeps a comin'.
