The chief US advocate for torture and former Enron counsel has replaced Ashcroft for Attorney General. The thing that got me this morning was this statement:
"The objective of securing the safety of Americans from crime and terror has been achieved."
Yes, thank you Mr. Ashcroft for making us so safe that you're not needed any longer. At least now the statues in Washington won't be foolishly covered up again because Ashy doesn't like to see naked breasts, sculpted or otherwise. This new guy doesn't seem like he'll be much better though, except perhaps he'll increase in the efficiency of destroying American freedoms.
