More in the tinfoil hat region

Okay, I'm really starting to get suspicious of the stupidest things. I was listening to an op-ed report on NPR on my way to rehearsal the other day and the reporter(I'm sorry I don't remember his name, but it's that guy with the stuffy voice that sometimes does the news) began talking about the plan of attack that W put in place and then he started talking about the disruption early on between Allawi and Chalabi. If you remember, Chalabi was the guy that the White House wanted, but the CIA was leery of him, they wanted Allawi. Anyhow, he began just a factual account of how there was internal conflict and whatnot. Then just as he started talking about Chalabi's dealings with Iran the report was cut and replaced with really bad jazz music for like ten minutes. I continued to listen because I wanted to know the reason and I wanted to hear the end, but then a female voice that was giggling under her breath came on and apologized for the technical difficulties.
It's almost as weird as this it's an article from the Turkish press about an attempt to assassinate Chalabi in a taxi cab. I think when we look back in history, we're really going to shake our heads in that WTF? fashion at this era.

Post Edited for clarity, not that it helped.
