Tired of wasting my time

I'm going to be absent from this blog for awhile, so I hope you guys can keep things going a bit. If you want to add Jen and Bierman in, go ahead. Josh has admin rights as well. I'm personally exhausted by half truthed rhetoric and old BS. As far as I can tell, John Kerry still beats Bush in every way. And while we've tried to push the debate towards issues and away from smears, that continues to be the trend here. So perhaps this will be looked at as me hiding from being able to prove my position, but it's not. I'm merely tired of fighting a battle that doesn't exist and really doesn't change the political spectrum of the debate at all except in some very small minded individuals. Kerry was only awarded his Bronze star late, and that's not uncommon at all. Pete you've bounced on position back and forth on whether or not Kerry asked for his medals, because he didn't. You bring up this article with his request to go to school, that's pretty normal too. Why doesn't he mention it? Would you? I think the truth here is that we're trying to prove a president's ability to lead based on merit and values, and the real solution to a good democracy is in policy and strategy. The president is a figurehead. And while he sets the tone of the national debate, he's also led by policy makers within his cabinet and advisors on his staff. This current president has a list of jokers in those positions that care more about false religious ethics and smoke and mirror tactics to beat the other guy. As far as I can tell the Kerry camp isn't endorsing folks like that, so this back and forth garbage is just nonsense that I'm tired of reading. Here's a simple way of looking at it in my opinion. You have candidate A who's failed constantly in everything he's ever done save fooling the American public and candidate B who's been a very successful and prominent senator for over twenty years. Seems simple to me, but you folks want to bitch and nitpick over choices that aren't there. Sure I'd like a 3rd party candidate, I'm not a democrat. But this election requires change to allow the world a reason to accept us as a great nation again. If you can't see that, then you're blind, and I'm not going to get myself worked up over crap that doesn't matter. So Josh, add whoever Pete wants, I agree with Biermann and Jen thus far, I don't begrudge any friends. Just don't expect to hear from me until this debate turns into something worthwhile instead of a repeat of the smear campaigns that I'm already tired of watching. Have fun.

"Not from Newsmax or FoxNews but a very very liberal Chicago Sun Times! Had to add that, sorry!"
Liberal paper, very conservative reporter.
"I hate to say it but you need the week away! Your "i-am-smarter-than-you" attitude is annoying and insulting to me. We are all equal in "smarts" so stop treating me like I am a high schooler! ****very small minded individuals, comment****"
Okay, this is the shit that has been pissing me off. You act like I'm being an asshole everytime I post something, esp. when it's a joke. Then you blast off and criticize the hell out of people I'm not even talking about. That's insulting. And as far as intelligence goes, anyone that thinks Bush deserves even a rat's ass of a chance for four more years has less of a mind than my cat in my opinion. This is my blog, and I created it out of fun mostly. It's supposed to be a free debate, but not an attack ground. I don't like that my name is on something that is riddled with your hate Pete. It makes me sick.

"Prove to me! GIVE ME SOME FRIGGIN FACTS!!! WHY SHOULD I VOTE FOR KERRY??? You want facts to be brought up well BRING IT UP!! I want to see his wonderful Senate record! I ALSO WANT A CREDIBLE LINK!!! Nothing from Frankin or Terry McAwfull! "
I've given facts and I continue to give facts. I'm sorry that I don't have the liberal think tank contacting me once a week with all of the good talking points to add to the discussion, but most of what I post is my own research. I often springboard from some more eloquent writers and bloggers on the net, but I always present something verifiable and if it's not then I'll admit to it, usually in the post. So fuck you for acting like I don't have credibility and FrankEn is a comedian. I'm an actor, I like his point of view. And it's a good one. If you read Lies as opposed to reading Ann Coulter's critiques of it, you'll realize it's actually a pretty fact based book that has a lot of thought in it. It's also there for humor, so it is what it is. I'm sorry you have trouble learning from someone you disagree with, I learned how to get around that in High School. I am also not a democrat so Terry McAuliffe is probably the last person I'd quote, so stop second guessing what's already been stated as wrong. I'm not blogging for the DNC, I'm blogging to get awareness out on the atrocities of Bush.

"Anyone????"
That's right, I haven't used respected professors, military personel and actual politicians as my sources, I've just jumped on Franken's wang and spit his garbage. Sure Pete, and you're really making me wish I'd never mentioned this blog to you.

"Give me a good reason why this man should be given the White House and the answer can't be "He's not Bush!!" Sorry, it is a friggin cop out and just lame! That statement might work in some hick towns election for Deputy but for America we deserve the best. Is Bush the best? Hell no! Is Kerry the best?? You say so but WHY???????????"
Well Josh has some good ones, maybe if I have the time I can step away from my communist rallies outside the RNC to wiggle some open time to hand feed you some more truth. I'm sure you won't like it. For a republican like you it's bad medicine. It's hard to realize that your party has switched from the party of fiscal responsibility to the party of bad government overhead and deficit spending. Perhaps it's because the first Reagan lie was just that, a lie. But you know that before Reagan the republicans were all about basic social programs like education and welfare, but that would take a history lesson, and who wants to learn about 30 years ago? You've insulted me left and right on this blog Pete, and you've made me mad enough to stop posting, but from here on out is another attempt to make this place a good place to blog. From here on out there will be no more personal attacks from my side. No longer will I accuse you of paying too much attention to the crap media that I know brainwashes you daily. No longer will I resort to cheap jibes at your partisanship. From now on I will expect the same. You knock a single one of my posts with any hate speech, and I will remove this blog from the internet at worst and remove your posting rights at least. This is the shit that causes people to stop being in touch as opposed to staying in touch. Why do I want to even be around someone that has to make politics personal by launching attacks on statements that are based on truth? I just won't have any more of it, because I just don't have the time or the room for it. Now let's stop the petty crap, you want to make fun of Kerry, fine. Do it with CREDIBLE proof, since that's your bar. If you want to make a joke, then I guess we'll have to say that it's a joke until people can get their panties unwound and actually comment on facts. I'm personally responsible for much of this getting out of hand in my opinion, because I don't believe the objective here was clear. Josh and I figured free and fair would work for everybody, but if I have to stop the hate by killing the one man that hates more than any of us, then I will. So Pete, either stop hating John Kerry or stop blasting me on my own blog. It's only fair. Think of this as my living room. Everyday I walk in here pick up the stack of mail on the table and read what my friends are up to. I don't want to be insulted in my living room, and I don't want to insult anyone in my living room, but when the chips are on the table, it's my fucking house.
