Super LIght Blogging

Well everyone I apologize that a ton of stuff has happened this week and I've been too busy to get it all out. Thanks to Ligit for starting the links for my buddy Dan. He'll appreciate that. I'll be putting in my ten cent links once I get the frigging time. So here's some glib commentary on the big stuff of the last week that I saw.
Big John Kerry made a great speech last night. Any thoughts? Did you guys see it, did you like it? I felt he stood up and showed himself to be presidential of sorts. He showed a lot of courage mentioning the faults of the administration without pointing direct fingers and no solutions. He laid out a few broad objectives which will give some plot to the upcoming debates a few months from now. I also felt he showed some good character and showed that he is a gifted speaker and speechwriter(yes, Kerry wrote all of that) and certainly puts a deep threat to Bush's attempt at four more years. I think the DNC went off well itself. The bs about the balloon screw up is laughable, but the laughable part is that the pundits clutched right onto that not knowing that the tech on tape saying something's wrong was the only one that was wrong. The balloons fell as they were supposed to so nyah nyah right wing media for failing to actually comment on Kerry's speech with tact. One last thing I felt was great that JK did was pushing the fairness of a civilized debate between him and the president. It's nice to hear a politician request for less mud slinging, let's just see if his upcoming campaign sticks to the promise.
Other than the DNC, a lot happened. I'd like to comment on it, but I haven't gotten to read most of it. So let's make this comment thread about the DNC and JK and any other news that came up this week you guys feel we might've missed. Here's my funny link for the day, it's a pathetic article, but it shows why it's obvious how insensitive the current administration is when it comes to the job situation in America.
Toodles folks, have a good weekend.
